Steelers sign former 2nd round draft pick Jaylon Smith
Pittsburgh (WJAC) — The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Wednesday that they have signed former second-round draft pick Jaylon Smith to the team's practice squad.
The free agent linebacker was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in 2016.
Smith spent five seasons with the Cowboys before signing with the Green Bay Packers.
He has also spent time with the New York Giants, New Orleans Saints and Las Vegas Raiders.
The former Notre Dame product has played in 88 career games, tallying 626 total tackles, 11 sacks, two interceptions and 6 fumble recoveries.

Bishop McCort cheerleaders win state championship Saturday
JOHNSTOWN, Pa (WJAC) — There was a happy homecoming Saturday night in Johnstown as family and friends welcomed back the state champion Bishop McCort cheerleading squad.
McCort competed against 33 other teams in their division in Hershey and won the 12-team final Saturday.

Man wanted in Altoona stabbing incident arrested in Harrisburg, court docs show
HARRISBURG, Pa (WJAC) — According to court documents, a Philadelphia man, who is wanted in connection to a stabbing incident in Altoona in early November, was arrested in Harrisburg.
Authorities say Moses Jones Jr., who Altoona police say was stabbed on Nov. 9 after he assaulted a woman in her apartment, was arrested on Nov. 15 in Dauphin County on felony drug and gun charges.

Noon kickoff set for Pitt-Penn State football game
PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt-Penn State football game on Sept. 10 will kick off at noon and be televised by ABC or ESPN, Pitt announced Thursday.
The game will be played at Heinz Field.

Tallulah Willis reveals autism diagnosis as an adult
WASHINGTON (TND) — The youngest daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore recently shared her autism diagnosis with the public for the first time. Tallulah Willis, 30, shared a throwback video on Instagram of her as a young child with her father on the red carpet. She is seen playing with her father's ear as he speaks to reporters. OXON HILL, Md. (AP) — Bruhat Soma insisted he was nervous during the idle hours as he waited to take the Scripps National Spelling Bee stage, and he felt even more pressure to perform given that he hadn't lost a spelling bee in eight months.

invasive species found at Raystown Lake
Huntingdon County, Pa. (WJAC) — An invasive species known as "Zebra Mussels" have been spotted at Raystown Lake.
They've been deemed one of the worst aquatic invasive species in the country, according to the PA Fish and Boat Commission.
Alicia Palmer is a Natural Resource Specialist at Raystown Lake who said it was "almost a matter of time" before they got here.

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WWMT) — Stargazers can catch the moon red-handed dark and early Tuesday, Nov. 8. That's when Earth gets in the middle of the Sun and the moon, casting a shadow that earthlings see as a total lunar eclipse, or "blood moon."
Election Day on Tuesday will be one for the record books. According to data scientist Tony Rice, this is the first total lunar eclipse to occur on Election Day as we know it; something that won't happen again until 2394, WJLA reported.
