Steelers sign former 2nd round draft pick Jaylon Smith

Pittsburgh (WJAC) — The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Wednesday that they have signed former second-round draft pick Jaylon Smith to the team's practice squad. The free agent linebacker was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in 2016. Smith spent five seasons with the Cowboys before signing with the Green Bay Packers. He has also spent time with the New York Giants, New Orleans Saints and Las Vegas Raiders. The former Notre Dame product has played in 88 career games, tallying 626 total tackles, 11 sacks, two interceptions and 6 fumble recoveries.
