Flyers name former Johnstown Chief Scott Gordon interim head coach
PHILADELPHIA — It took less than two weeks as general manager of the Philadelphia Flyers for Chuck Fletcher to see what he needed to see with coach Dave Hakstol.
The Flyers were still making too many mistakes, still not playing up to their talent level and it was all too clear the message wasn’t getting across from their fourth-year coach. With the team mired in a four-game losing streak, Fletcher fired Hakstol on Monday and named Scott Gordon as interim replacement.

One dead, three injured after vehicle accident in Butler County
One man is dead and three other people are injured, including two children, after a vehicle accident in Worth Township, Butler County, Friday, state police said.
According to a press release, Daniel Henn, 54, was driving the vehicle north on I-79 near mile marker 101 when the incident occurred.
State police said a 44-year-old female, a 6-year-old male and a 5-year-old female were passengers in the vehicle.
The press release states that Henn drove off the left side of the roadway for unknown reasons before veering back to the right side, crossing both northbound travel lanes.

State College approves plan to demolish iconic bar 'The Brewery'
State College, PA (WJAC) — State College Borough's plan to demolish an iconic bar in town, The Brewery, to make way for more parking is sparking controversy.
At this week's borough council meeting, the council approved measures to use eminent domain to acquire the building where the Brewery and other businesses are located.
Building owners say they didn’t know anything about the plans until a few hours before the meeting.
Wendy's plans for demand-based surge pricing by 2025
WASHINGTON (TND) — Going to Wendy's might soon become a scheduled event after the company announced a plan to fluctuate pricing throughout the day based on demand. CEO and President of Wendy's, Kirk Tanner, announced in early February a plan to increase company profits by displaying dynamic pricing, also called surge pricing, on digital menu boards, according to Food and Wine. Tanner said the company plans to invest around $20 million to roll out digital menu boards to all U.
Working on possible increase of minimum trout size
The PA Fish and Boat Commission says they are considering increasing the minimum size of trout that can be caught and kept. They say the increase could bring many benefits for both trout and other species of fish.
The last time the minimum size for trout was changed was 40 years ago, when it was increased from 6 to 7 inches. PA Fish and Boat Commission staff say they are now reviewing regulations to see if another increase is appropriate.
