FULTON COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — State police say they have identified the infant who was found dead along a Fulton County roadside last month.
On the morning of March 11th, investigators say the body of a male infant child was discovered in the area of Lincoln Way East and South Second Street, in McConnellsburg Borough.
Authorities say the child's death was deemed "suspicious" and an investigation determined that the child had been born no more than 24 hours prior to being found.
Officials say the child weighed approximately four pounds and was "estimated to be 36-37 weeks gestational age."
No further details about the child have been released, other than that the infant had brown hair and blue eyes.
Troopers say they are continuing to investigate the cause of the infant's death as authorities await the results of an autopsy.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police McConnellsburg barracks.
