Police locate vehicle of man who threatened troopers with knives, suspect still at large

Huntingdon Co., PA (WJAC) — State Police in Huntingdon County announced Thursday that authorities have recovered the vehicle belonging to 40-year-old Jedediah Rawlings.

Rawlings is wanted for allegedly threatening troopers with knives during a traffic stop earlier this week.

Police say Rawlings is still at large and anyone who sees him is asked to use extreme caution.

Police say Rawlings allegedly re-painted the car.

State police in Huntingdon County are asking for the public's help in locating an Alexandria man who allegedly fled a police traffic stop on Monday and threatened the troopers with knives.

According to the police report, the incident began as troopers were attempting to pull over a white, 2012 Chrysler 200 Monday morning along 2nd Street in Huntingdon Borough.

Investigators say troopers learned that the driver of the vehicle, 40-year-old Jedediah Rawlings, had an active arrest warrant.

Police say as troopers were "ordering" Rawlings out of the vehicle, he began to drive away.

Troopers say during the pursuit, Rawlings allegedly pulled into a nearby parking lot and exited the vehicle.

Authorities say Rawlings then brandished multiple knives and threatened the troopers before getting back into his car and fleeing the scene.

Investigators say Rawlings is still "at large" and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
